Acne Prevention
   

Acne prevention should be anyone's first "defense" against skin disorders. One shouldn't underestimate preventative steps that can go a long way to keep you free from acne. Acne is a skin disorder that can actually be prevented and even controlled if you are willing to act on the tips I list.

--Your hygiene and daily cleaning habits can help. Women often apply all types of chemicals onto their skin, and particularly on the face, so that the skin grows quite saturated with such chemicals. What to do: Remember to maintain your skin as clean as possible, especially before going to bed.

--It's a very good idea to cut down on your application of cosmetics, especially if you suffer from acne. Consider strongly using oil-free cosmetics that carry the non-comedogenic label.

--Use medicated soap and warm water to wash any acne affected skin; don't use face wash, for it contains many chemicals.

--Vitamins and minerals can do wonders for you in preventing acne. Vitamins A, B5, and E are helpful to prevent and treat acne. Zinc minimizes acne break outs. You can either take the above mentioned  nutrients in your food or as supplements.

--Bacterial on your face promotes infection and then acne. Developing the habit of cleaning off the bacterial growth in your skin will help prevent acne. Wash your face on a regular basis, using a mild medicated soap, and rinsing thoroughly.

--Handle your skin less in order to reduce the amount of bacteria in your skin. Wash your hands prior to touching your face.

--Wash your pillowcase frequently. Always use face towels that are clean. Filthy pillowcases and face towels may contain germs and bacteria which can worsen acne.

--Always take a shower immediately after working out; your sweat together with skin oils may trap bacteria and dirt in your pores.

--Practice the regular routine of cleaning your cosmetic brushes in soapy water.
